- It is having separate block in the centre of the college campus.
- This library building has a carpet area of - 682.8 sq. ft.
- LIBRARY - 451.11 Sqft.
- READING ROOM - 127.8 Sqft.
- REFERENCE SEECTION - 51.11 Sqft.
- E-library - 52.88 Sq ft.
- Seating capacity is 150in different service areas.
- It is Computerised with SOUL software2.0 (VB.Net Sql Server)
- This library caters to the needs of all sections of the students, faculty and also to the elite of KAKINADA in and around .

The mission of the Library is to support the college in building top ranked, research driven institution by establishing a knowledge hub. It enables to access various resources, besides providing, innovative, responsive and effective services to meet the changing needs of academic community.

OBJECTIVES:
To function as a temple of learning for all students staff and elite of the town. To act as reservoir of knowledge in acquiring and storing information. To update the knowledge in various fields of study and disseminate the same to the users. To provide innovative, responsive and effective service which will meet the Changing needs of the academic community. To provide range of books, periodical, e-resources and other media in keeping with the institution’s needs. To establish number one resources and facilities to suit academic as well as research needs present and future.
GOALS:
To develop the 150-year-old Pithapur Rajah’s Govt.College (A), Central Library to a full – fledged State of the art automated Library. To see that library is fully utilized by the staff and students by making it user- friendly. Our dream is to see our library in newly constructed full-fledged building.
Activities of Library
- Every year we conduct National Library Week celebrations from 14th to 20th in the month of November to create awareness about the books, Library and its functioning and conducting various competitions (Essay writing, elocution, quiz, singing, drawing, mini -kavithala poti Etc.).
- 12 systems provided for Digital Library, Internet.
Book Exhibition Organized entitled “ Revisiting - History and Re-visioning Tomorrow” with Classics, new Arrivals etc., in all fields of Cotemporary Relevance on 31stJanuary by the Department of Library Science in Collaboration with Department of English and Botany and inaugurated by the M.Subrahmanyam I.A.S. Dist Collector and Magistrate, East Godavari Dist.
HIGHLIGHTS OF THE LIBRARY DEPARTMENT
Automation of Library was completed with SOUL Software. Circulation and Online Public Access catalogue (OPAC) provided to search the Bibliographic Information for User. Three Computer Systems were provided for automation of library. One scanner two hand scanners and Two printers along with two 2 KV U.P.S. purchased for Automation purpose.One system was provided for voice books which will be used for visually challenged students & staff. Three computers system with 18-monitors were provided in the library room to browse Internet, e-Journals, and e-Books, e-mail facility to students & staff. CD Library (1155 CD’s,107 DVD’s,16 Audio Cassetts,9-Floppy’s) provided in the Reading room. Separate reading room provided with well equipped furniture with lightning, Fans and cooler for drinking water. 1602-Back volumes provided in the library. Well equipped reference section with 7717 reference books with full lighting and fans provided. Latest magazines and journals are provided to students. Old rare books published 1890 on wards like Telugu , English dictionaries and Journals are available in the library. 1010-Books which will useful for attending various competition examination like AUCET,GATE, MCA,MAT,CAT,GRE,TOFEL, NET/SLET/RRB,BSRB,BPO, Bank clerical examinations etc. available in the Reference Section. 15-Magazines to which are useful to attend competitive examinations & to get career opportunities are available. Job Opportunities and entrance examination notifications displayed in the library Notice Board. Telephone facility and Intercom Telephone facility was provided in library to connect office and with other departments of the college. Internet facility for 19 systems were provided in the library. Subscription paid to get access e-Journals e-books from N-List (INFLIBNET) Info net. Subscription paid to get access e-Journals e-books & Loan Books from DELNET 5-KV Back up facility was provided in the library for providing un- Interrupted power supply. User Orientation classes will be conducted to freshers about the library system Procedures. Inter library Loan facility also provided. Reprography facility provided in the reference section. New Arrivals (Books/Journals) displayed on notice board of library. Issue of books for period of one month will be given to students. Departmental libraries also provided in addition to central library. Book Bank facility provided with 8030 books. Braille Books also provided for blind students. Audio Books are installed in separate system for the use of visually changed staff & students. Archives section also provided. Book exhibitions are conducting to introduce the books to students & staffNational library week celebrations are conducting on the 14th – 20th November every year to enlighten the students towards inculcate reading habit. To encourage students towards Reading Habit conducting various competitions like Essay writing, Debate, Elocution, Quiz, Drawing, Singing, Mini Kavitala Poti etc.
