•  Institution of a memorial prize for the best out going MA Hindi  student. The prize is sponsored by   Prof Y.Lakshmi Prasad Loknayak Foundation  Visakhapatnam .
• The Department runs a research journal titled “Yogyata” to develop writing skills of  the staff & students.
• The Dept. exhibits daily a Hindi word in notice board. 
• A certificate course in Hindi for students and Job seekers
