శాఖ పరిచయం
The Department of Telugu was established in the year 1931. Maharaja of Pithapuram Late Sri R V K M Surya Rao Bahadura, a lover of Telugu language and literature, had been the source of inspiration to a number of Telugu scholars. SURYA RAYANDRA NIGHANTUVU (8 volumes — Telugu Dictionary) is his memorable contribution towards Telugu literature. The Department of Telugu has its glorious history ever since its inception in this century-old college. Well-known scholars who hailed from this department include:
